The Secret RF treatment takes approximately 45 minutes, but we book you for 1:15 hour to ensure the topical anaesthetic has ample time to work. 30 minutes prior to the procedure, your skin will be cleansed and a topical anaesthetic applied to minimize discomfort. The Secret RF device is then gently glided across the treatment areas. The depth of treatment is adjustable, making it safe for the entire face. We conclude with a complimentary LED boost to soothe the skin and accelerate healing.

Discomfort

During the procedure, you may feel a slight heating and some pressure. Most clients find the treatment comfortable, and our aesthetic doctor will monitor your comfort throughout the session.

Social Downtime

Post-treatment, your skin will be red and may feel tight, similar to a sunburn. The redness typically subsides within 48 hours. You should avoid applying any products, including makeup, for up to 48 hours. Some swelling, especially around the eyes, may occur and can last for a few days. Your skin may feel tender for a day or two and experience some flaking starting on day three, lasting up to a week.

While Secret RF is well tolerated, it is not suitable for everyone. We cannot perform the treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active acne or skin infections (including cold sores), skin cancer, bleeding disorders, poorly controlled diabetes, or allergies to stainless steel, gold, other metals, or topical anaesthetics. Treatment is also not recommended if you have had another aesthetic treatment within the last two weeks, are using oral medications for your skin within the past six months, or have certain medical conditions such as vitiligo, a pacemaker, cardiac conditions, keloid scarring, or metal implants in the treatment area.

Please inform us if you have had any recent facial surgeries, deep chemical peels, dermabrasion, or resurfacing treatments.

Many clients notice more radiant and tighter skin after the second treatment, with optimal results seen three months after completing the course. Remember, it takes time for your skin to produce new collagen. The longevity of the results varies based on individual lifestyle factors. Secret RF is a easy, safe and effective procedure that can be performed in a quick, 15-minute treatment session. During the

treatment, you will feel a slight heating and some pressure on the treatment area. For most patients, the treatment is tolerable

but your physician will work with you to maximize your comfort level. Prior to the procedure, your provider will apply a numb-

ing cream to the treatment area to increase comfort during the treatment.

HOW MANY SECRET RF TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Patients typically need 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. Most patients report seeing improve-

ment after the second treatment however results are optimized 3 months after the last treatment.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT LAST?

After the treatment, an ointment will be applied to the skin and you will be asked to refrain from wearing make up for several

Do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.

Avoid skin, beauty, and aesthetic treatments for 2 weeks prior.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior.

Avoid skin irritants a few days before and after treatment.

Unless prescribed by your GP, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils, and vitamins A-E for 1 week prior.

Do not attend if you have had a recent cold, flu, infection, or vaccination. You must wait 2 weeks and feel well before treatment.

Excess hair may need to be shaved. Men should be cleanly shaved.

No sun-tanning or self-tanners 4 weeks prior.

A history of herpes or cold sores may require an antiviral prescription.

After Your Treatment

Avoid wearing makeup on treated areas for a minimum of 12 hours.

Avoid sun exposure and use broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Avoid extreme heat or cold until redness and swelling resolve.

Avoid touching the treated areas excessively.

Avoid using acids and vitamin A (retinoids) for 48 hours post-treatment.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake or vigorous exercise for the first 48 hours.

Avoid facials or other skin/beauty treatments for 2 weeks post-treatment.
